HomeNog’s Free Plan Is Moving From 25 Items to 10

Starting November 15, 2026, HomeNog Free will include up to 10 active saved items instead of 25. The change applies to new and existing Free accounts.

Everything you’ve already saved stays in your account. You can keep viewing and editing your inventory.

Until November 15, the current 25-item allowance applies.

What if I already have 10 or more items?

Say you’ve saved 18 items. All 18 stay right where they are.

Starting November 15, you’ll need to bring your active inventory below 10 before adding or restoring another item. HomeNog Plus includes unlimited saved items if you want room for more.

If you’ve been using those extra spots, we know a smaller Free plan is a real change. You can keep using the inventory you’ve already built.

Does the item limit reset each month?

The 10-item allowance covers your total active saved inventory. It doesn’t reset each month.

Your monthly AI assists are a separate allowance. This update changes the number of saved items included in Free.

What should I add to my home inventory first?

Start with the things you’d hate to look up while standing in a hardware aisle.

Is the dishwasher still under warranty? Which replacement part fits the refrigerator? And why is the model number always on the side facing the wall?

A useful home inventory puts those answers somewhere you can actually find them. These ten items make a practical starting point.

Add thisKeep these details handy
Furnace or heating systemModel number, warranty and last service date
Water heaterInstallation date and warranty
RefrigeratorModel number and water-filter model
DishwasherModel number and manual
Washing machineModel number and a note about the water shutoff
DryerModel number and last vent-cleaning date
Range or ovenModel number and manual
MicrowaveModel number and warranty
Garage door openerModel number and compatible remote
VacuumModel number and bag or filter type

Swap in whatever makes sense for your place. If you’ve looked up which bags fit the vacuum twice, that vacuum has earned its spot.

You don’t have to fill all ten spots today. Start with one thing you know you’ll need to look up again.

What information should I save?

A photo of the model label is plenty to get going. Add the details you already have, then build from there.

Useful things to keep with an item include its receipt, serial number, manual, warranty information and maintenance notes.

The goal is simple. Next time something needs attention, you can open HomeNog instead of starting the same search all over again.
